Important Kit Assembly Information

All item included in kits must be NEW items

All emergency kits are carefully planned to make them usable in the greatest number of situations.  Since strict rules often govern product entry into international countries, it is important that kits contain only the requested items -- nothing more.

Do NOT include any personal notes, money, or additional materials in the kits.  These things must be painstakingly removed and will delay the shipment.

**Note: UMCOR Sager Brown us now purchasing toothpaste in bulk to be added to health kits before shipping to ensure that the product does not expire before they are sent.

Thanks to all for helping!

Operation Christmas Child 52-12

Operation Christmas Child brings joy

and hope to children in desperate situations

around the world through gift-filled shoe

boxes and the Good News of God's love. This

program of Samaritan's Purse provides an

opportunity to be involved in a simple,

hands-on missions project while focusing on

the true meaning of Christmas Jesus

Christ.

Our church has participated in this program

for a few years, so whats this 52-12 thing?

I have always kept a bag at the back of

my closet to collect things throughout the

year for shoe boxes, 52 weeks and 12 months

a year. Now I would like everyone else to do

the same thing, except now we will bring

those items in & place them in our BIG BOX

in the fellowship hall. Be sure to think of

this at 90% off sales after Christmas &

Easter or when school supplies are on sale.

The participants of Childrens Church

will help to fill the BIG BOX with new items,

and feel the excitement as the box fills. Then

in November they will help fill shoe boxes.

When I watched the ministry report

video on www.samaritanspurse.org and they

sang, HE knows my name, I realize once

again what a wonderful way this is to bring

Jesus to the children of our Earth, including

our children at Toms Brook United Methodist

Church.
